Interesting INTJ Personality Type

Everything is capable of logical prediction.

INTJs generally are logically strong willed individuals whose thinking leads to high degrees of intuition and adherence to systems to achieve their desired goals. Systems = Efficient action.
INTJs at an early age begin developing logical pattern forming observations of the world and its interconnected systems. Often, bemusement in the observation of others inconsistent nature, leads them to extended periods of introspection and reflection.

INTJs tend to have very inquisitive minds and enjoy (almost always) having a solution. To many INTJs, a solution that is best fit against their knowledge framework is better than no solution; intuition often has a great deal of input into these fuzzy logic answers. Intuition is materially correct until materially proven wrong.

Many INTJs have well defined beliefs in line with their Judging (J) function, which coupled with their desired to; think, learn and understand, often leads to greater enjoyment of Introversion (I) (Introversion of the mind, not to be confused with Introversion of the physical self). The positive feedback loop of Thinking (T) with (I) leads to an accelerating Intuition (N). Many INTJs throughout their lives can often be seen initially as "slower" learners while they fully and methodically comprehend new information/logic against their own internal knowledge framework. (An external manifestation of the reflective process). Information and observations are logical pieces in a bigger jigsaw.

Often many INTJs can be frustrated by the seemingly linear thinking of colleagues who simply memorize a sequence of understanding as a straight A to B, rather than understand all the permutations and logic of traveling from A to B. Over time INTJs who's substantial knowledge framework has been accumulating, begin to fully realize their attributes in areas such as e.g. strategy, research and unstructured problem situations.

It is quoted that of those with an INTJ profile, some 37% fall within the top 2% of IQ measures. The highest of any type, with INTP second. However, it should be noted that IQ tests are quite geared to pattern forming and predictive assessment. (A correlation between "type" self assessment and IQ, is therefore quite plausible).

Negative Aspects to INTJs
Just as an INTJs positive feedback loop between the Introversion and Thinking can lead to heightened Intuition, a similar situation can occur with Introversion. An INTJ can become progressively more introverted due to less developed social skills (Left out) and/or simply dismissing the majority of people (Opting out) who are "inconsequential" to the gathering and understanding of "Things".
In order for an INTJ to be successful in leveraging people for the achievement of substantial goals this can be problematic, furthermore this has significant ramifications for interpersonal relationships. The key for INTJs is to participate and empathize with the motivations of other "types", also, as inconceivable it might seem to many an INTJ; that life has to be (in the majority) simply enjoyed, in fact it will help them achieve far greater feats if they do so.

Positive aspects of INTJs
  • Friends of INTJs are often very good friends as there isn't the requirement to be energized by having flexible attitudes to appease the many.
  • Trustable - Logical and coherent reasonableness.
  • Excellent conversational and insightful observational viewpoints.
  • Invariably have contingency plans in place to counteract life's issues (e.g. money in the bank for a rainy day).
