What kills a relationship?
A1. Being selfish
and self-centred. In a healthy, balanced relationship both individuals value
each other, and are willing to put the other person first.
A2. Not being willing to change and grow. None of us is perfect; we all have our flaws.
Instead of expecting our partner to change we must both be open to adapting and
growing.
A3. Not listening to our partner, or hearing what they’re
saying. Being obsessed with our opinion, and what matters most to us.
A4. Being unwilling to admit that we also made mistakes,
or to say that we are sorry, or to share some of the blame.
A5. Being cold or unsupportive, or wrapped up in my
needs.
A6. Lacking integrity and not being trustworthy. In a
strong relationship, you’re honest and real. You don’t have to pretend, or lie,
or hide the truth.
